2017 Isuzu MUX Update Launch Evaluation Behind the Wheel

2017 Isuzu MU-X Update Launch Review

Isuzu Ute brings the actual updated Isuzu MU-X SUV to Australia…

Australia has proven a massive accomplishment for the hardworking squad at Isuzu Ute?and also this updated MU-X looks establish to continue pushing profits skyward.

It’s nearly 4 years since I traveled up to Thailand to check out the Isuzu SUV around the model’s international launch, I remember at the time feeling that the MU-X was going to become a popular choice at home.

And it certainly continues to be, particularly up against the co-developed General motors product that has been bought here as both the Littleton 7 and, now, the Holden Trailblazer.

So, what does this Isuzu MU-X welcome in this newest update? Well, Isuzu tell us the changes have all ended up based on local reviews and include:

  • Updated front style with new Bi-LED headlights
  • Updated Guided taillights
  • Improved cabin sound deadening
  • Tweaked suspension and steering feel
  • Addition of soppy touch materials/coverings in the cabin
  • New interior highlights such as combination and chrome
  • Updated alloy wheel designs
  • A new paint coloration – Havana Brown (shown underneath)

Of course, as we protected earlier in the year, Isuzu in addition recently introduced a new 3.0 litre turbo-diesel engine in the MU-X/D-MAX and this brings with it quite a respectable 130kW/430Nm.

While total cost for ownership numbers to your Isuzu have also been helped with the existing addition of a five-year assurance, five-year roadside assist, in addition to five-year capped price providing.

The updated Isuzu MU-X is now a lot more people-friendly.

The interior ‘soften up’ is extremely welcome and helps make the Isuzu product a more entertaining vehicle to travel around, especially over more time distances.

The softer arm-rests are a smart addition – significantly weightlifting comfort and the general feel.

While the MU-X cabin rental, overall, is less noisy and this is especially mentioned in regards to wind racket and other external tones.

You can still hear any diesel engine while, but not at amounts that are off-putting.

It still does anything competently – road methods, fuel economy, adaptability, log cabin space, towing potential, features etc.

But that shines with five-star basic safety, the improved after-sales policies and fair pricing.

I might take a mark or simply two off the Isuzu product, as I have done when I have driven the item, for the storage common box behind the third-row seats.

This always seems to stick out and show that the actual seats don’t fairly fold into the floor.

As we have also dealt with many times before, the Isuzu MU-X sits comfortably between ‘softer’ seven-seat offerings like the Mazda CX-9 and also Toyota Kluger, and then the larger Toyota Prado‘utes and the like.

2017 Isuzu MU-X Update Launch ReviewThe MU-X also provides an authentic and sensible alternative option to buying a dual-cab ute.

Boasting the identical towing capacity along with off-road ability (4×4 variation) as most pick-ups/utes, the Car gives you the two added seats and a correct enclosed cargo vicinity.

Well-priced, competent, comfortable enough for the family and tough more than enough for the rough stuff, the Isuzu MU-X now bakes an even more compelling discussion as one of the most multipurpose vehicles available in 2017.
